Grounding Through Seasons of Change

Over the past few years—and especially in this current season of life post- turning 40—I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to stay grounded when the ground beneath you is moving.

Identity shifts, career transitions, changes in our bodies, spiritual awakenings, the tender edges of midlife… these experiences ask us to meet ourselves in deeper, more compassionate ways than ever before.

Some days it’s like all the things that we thought we knew about ourselves have been turned upside down.

Recently, I joined my friend and former Illumine client, Sikin, on her podcast Women Wiser for a long-overdue conversation. Our chats always go DEEP. Our brains work so differently (she is an earthy Capricorn and I am an airy Gemini), so we bring different perspectives that open up new frontiers of all the topics that we explore.

Our episode, “Staying Grounded Through Seasons of Change,” explores themes that so many of my clients—and honestly, I myself—have been moving through:

  • How to root yourself when life is rearranging itself

  • Why I believe pain is a call for more love (and why this was one of Sikin’s biggest takeaways from our work together)

  • What it means to expand your capacity for joy

  • How to find micro-moments of grounding when everything feels overwhelming

  • The difference between collapsing into surrender and opening into surrender

  • Developing the “spine” that holds us during transitions

This conversation is warm, honest, and deeply human. If you’re navigating a season of uncertainty, identity shifts, emotional heaviness, or simply feeling disconnected from your joy, I think you’ll find comfort and resonance here.

One of the things that made this conversation especially meaningful is that I’ve had the honor of walking alongside Sikin in a deeper way. She completed my signature program, Illumine, an 8-month journey of clearing and balancing the chakra system through deep healing work. The transformation she experienced is beautiful, brave, and incredibly inspiring.

This podcast episode goes far beyond surface-level self-care.

It is a conversation about being human—about holding both joy and pain, allowing yourself to evolve, and meeting life with softness even when it feels chaotic.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed recording it.
